It seems like in recent years, we’ve been hearing about plane malfunctions and ill-fated flights more and more, even though flying is supposed to be one of the safest modes of travel. Some aviators have said that the increased use of automated technology is making pilots unable to fly a plane as manually as they used to, so they don’t know quite what to do when problems come up in the cockpit. This particular flight worried the pilot so much that he suggested everyone say a prayer just so they could survive.
